Got a Bike???

Hey guys. It's been a while since I've given any updates about my mock sprint triathlon coming up in November. Training has been good, and in spite of a few setbacks I think this is still going to happen on November 10th. I'm in need of a favor though. I still have no road bike to use for this day. I've been training on a stationary bike at the gym and looking on Craig's list to see if I could get a used one. But I've simply had no luck. So if any of you out there know of someone who might let me borrow their bike for a week or so, I'd be so thankful!!! I think I might try Play it Again sports too, so if anyone knows of anything, please let me know. These road bikes are crazy expensive and I'm not quite that psycho about it yet. :)

I'm also going to compete in this "Texas Turkey Triple" indoor triathlon at the Natatorium on Saturday, November 18th. It's $30 and a lot shorter than a regular sprint tri. Basically you swim as far as you can for 10 min, bike on a stationary bike for 20, then run on a treadmill for 15 minutes. The winner is the person who travels the furthest distance. I'm especially excited about it because if I'm up against someone who's really good, I won't get left in the dust since we'll all be on stationary bikes and treadmills. I say all that to say, if anyone wants to join me, I'd love to have some friends compete too. It will only take 1 hour total and I think it will be a fun, not so competitive way to get into it as well.
