32 Weeks and staying in the hospital

Well as many of you know yesterday was the day I'd been waiting for, for a week. I was scheduled to have a sonogram, and if nothing had changed since last Thursday, my doctor said she'd let me go home on bed rest for the next month. I just knew I was going home yesterday. But, come to find out that's not exactly the way things played out. The doctor joked with me not to quit my day job as my physic future telling skills were obviously not that great.

The good news is our baby is doing so good! He weighs an estimated 4 pounds 12 ounces which is such good news! The nurse joked with me that this baby is loving my hospital food! The not-so-good news is that I'm 100% effaced which means my water could break at any time. Yikes! Dr. said that just the act of packing up my things, loading the car and going home could cause it to break. Soooo, another two weeks of hospital bed rest for me and Tristan.

We are doing good, just praying that God would allow Tristan to stay in my tummy until he's big enough not to have to go to NICU...that's what I'm praying anyway. And, obviously I have LOTS more time on my hands so if you ever feel like popping in for a visit, we'd love to have you. Thank you again and again for all your prayers! God has been so faithful to answer all of them and protect and keep our little guy safe.

Oh Sharee, I know you wanted to go home today! But at least Tristan is in the best hands at the hospital. Ok, we (or I) are coming to see you next week ... I will email you!

Sharee-
I read your whole Tristan story and wanted to let you know I'll be praying for you guys. Our daughter, Annalise was born a year ago and we had a wonderful experience with her stay in the NICU, but hopefully Tristan won't need it!

Sweet Shareena!
I'm so sorry to hear that you won't be going home, but I happy to hear that baby Tristan is growing strong in that precious little belly of yours! I'm going to be in Dallas next Friday, October 3rd, and would love to stop by and spend some time with you. I'll call you this week to plan! Love ya and praying for you and Tristan...

Sharee! 100% effaced?!? Crazy. Well, we know that God is in control, and will take care of you and your little Tristan (and Justin!). You just take it easy, and keep enjoying that food! We know you'll work it all off once you're out of the hospital, anyway.

Sharee,
I am praying and thinking of you and Tristan! I pray God will continue to watch over him and strengthen him while he stays in your tummy. I am so glad he is growing so well! I pray he will stay in your belly for a few more weeks. I am praying that you are able to enjoy your rest and time in the hospital as you wait for your little boy. What a blessing Tristan already is to your life!! I am thinking of you!!
