Kickin' through Weeks 23 & 24

Literally, Tristan has been "kickin it" old school up in his crib these past couple of weeks and it's been the coolest thing ever! No longer is the feeling inside me a faint flutter, but these past two weeks we've had some all-out that kind of hurts and at least gets my attention kicks in there! The other night, I had gotten up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, and when I got back I switched sides I was sleeping on. Well, I guess that got Tristan all turned around because he let out the biggest kick in my side. Enough to make me sit up in bed and say "ooowww." And even better the little stinker kept kicking me until I finally switched back to the other side! It's just so cool to really truly feel him in there and know he's growing and getting bigger. I love feeling him move around in there, it just reminds me "Hey, I'm in here you know."

I'm finally at a point where I truly am loving and enjoying pregnancy! This is by far the best stage I think until of course we get to meet him for real! We've been busy here at home getting more ready for him. I went out and bought his first couple of outfits which was so fun!! I love buying the little 0-3 month things because they're SO TINY!! Ahh, I got this brown jacket the other day that's the cutest, littlest thing ever. And, we got the nursery painted (No, my wonderful husband got the nursery painted all by himself...thank you honey), bedding on (minus the crib skirt that didn't match so I'm now still looking for one), and today I found out our dresser is in and waiting for us to pick it up! Here's a preliminary glimpse... All of it is just so exciting because every step means we're closer to meeting him and having our own little family! Tristan, we can't wait for you to get here bud! Okay, this ended up being a long post, but I just realized how excited I am about all the cool things that have been happening lately. We are definitely blessed beyond belief and grateful for every moment!

Hi Sharee,

I came across your blogsite via Jessica Burk's. I am a friend of hers.

Hey, do you mind telling me where you got your blog layout from?
I love it. I am trying to look for different layouts myself and can not seem to find one that does not post the advertising on them.

If you don't mind sharing, would you email me at daphinereeves@ymlusa.com? Thanks so much.
