Homemade Exersaucer

Special thanks to my friend Jessica for this awesome idea! I read on her blog yesterday that her little Hayden (2 weeks younger than T) has been practicing her sitting up in a laundry basket. I thought it was hilarious and decided to give it a try. Tristan has been doing pretty good sitting up, but he still will go for the occasional full on fall backwards so I have to be sure there are pillows around. This way, I could just pop him in our little basket and knew he was good to go! Our own little home-made exersaucer. I can move it from room to room way more easily and change out the toys each time. At first you can see little man didn't know quite what to make of it, but in no time he was liking his little space. I'm sure it won't last long, but a fun, free new toy just made our day today...thanks for sharing, Jess!

Uhhh, are you kidding me mom? I'm in a laundry basket!!!
I think I like this now momma!

Those are the cutest pictures! This actually reminds me more of a mini pack-n-play. And laundry baskets provide loads of fun when they get older, too. Ian loves putting stuff in and out ("helping with laundry"), pushing the basket around, climbing in and out, and his favorite... riding inside while daddy pushes him.

Yay for free entertainment! Because baby stuff can just add up!
