A Red Wagon Welcome...

...for Baby McDonnell!!! Today some friends of mine from lifegroup at church had the privilege of throwing a baby shower for our sweet friend Jenny and her precious baby boy! I had so much fun planning and putting this together with the girls. Elizabeth had the idea for our red wagon theme since Jenny's husband Jeff grew up loving his red radio flyer wagon. We had more fun thinking of all the ways we could use wagons to spice things up! Here are some of the highlights in case you ever want to throw a red wagon welcome baby shower. :)

Wagon full of Wishes
We had everyone write some words of advice, or prayers for the baby on note-cards and compiled them into this cute wagon photo album for Jenny to take with her.Red Wagon Welcome DVD
After some sneaky work and help from grandparents, I was able to get some pictures of Jeff and Jenny as babies and put it together in this short little slide-show that played the whole time.
Wagons All Around
We had wagons everywhere, outside to greet people and let them know where the shower was, wagons with prayer cards so Jenny will be prayed for over the next few months, wagons with gifts, wagons on tables, wagons everywhere!
And Mmmm...yummy food! (no wagons necessary) Lindsay made these incredible cappuccino punch things....delicious!!
And here are the sweet girls who helped pull all this together!
And the mom-to-be, my sweet friend Jenny.

What a good idea for a theme! Cute, cute shower! And I love the Wilton Armetale serving pieces! I have that same pattern... :)

Hi! My name is Stephanie, and I stumbled across this entry while searching for radio flyer shower themes. What an awesome job you guys did! I am impressed. I love this idea, but have had little luck finding items. Where did you purchase your little wagons "it's a boy"? I appreciate your time! spjunk@embarqmail.com
