You ever have one of those days where you're just happy inside? For no reason really, just happy to be alive. That's how I feel today. I watched Elizabethtown after church this afternoon and something in the girl Claire inspired me. To just love life, have fun, and forget about being stressed out. I want to be her. Or at least have her happy care-free sing-in-the-shower kind of outlook on life. I have to take advantage of these moments...the kind where I'm inspired to clean the windows and go out for a nice run. I'm hoping this one will hang on for a while. Anyway, it made me think about things I'm thankful for. I'm thankful for this gorgeous February day that actually feels like May. Thankful for my husband who laughs at me as I dance around the house singing off-key, thankful for a job I love and kids who make me laugh, thankful for so much. I'm also thankful for old friends and weekends like I had a couple of weekends ago. My best friend from high school came up to visit me. We had the best time RELAXING together. We watched several girly movies (warning...PS...I Love You will bring out tears...lots of tears!), got pedicures, made late night runs for Cool Ranch Doritos, ate out and talked. I love you Shelb and I'm thankful for weekends like this that makes us feel like we're in high school again.
Jammin in the car to the I-pod. Only Shelby can handle hearing me sing loud in the car, off-key and all, and still love me! :) She's going to kill me that I put this on my blog. Sorry, Shelb.
